Royal Recognition
Westminster Abbey 2020
One-Drum Foundation had the honour of opening the Royal Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey in 2020, performing traditional African drumming and dance for members of the Royal Family and Commonwealth representatives.

This prestigious recognition highlights our commitment to preserving and sharing authentic African cultural traditions while building bridges between communities through the universal language of music.
In addition to our own projects, the One-Drum Foundation collaborates with other charities to secure funding and grants to deliver educational projects, workshops and authentic performances around the world.
Below are the charities we have recently collaborated with:

Collaborating on cultural heritage projects and educational initiatives across Commonwealth nations.

Partnering on community arts programs and cultural performances in East London.

Working together on youth engagement programs and community workshops.

Supporting children's programs with interactive drumming workshops and cultural education.

Providing educational support and cultural enrichment for young people in need.

Supporting community initiatives and educational programs for vulnerable groups.
Through these valuable partnerships, we are able to extend our reach and impact, bringing the healing power of African drumming to more communities worldwide. Our collaborative approach ensures that cultural education and authentic performances reach those who need it most, creating lasting positive change through the universal language of music.
Our flagship project aimed at vulnerable young people and adults at risk, providing free workshops during term time and school holidays for local communities to learn ancient African drumming rhythms.
Traditionally African drumming is a community activity where parents, carers, grandparents and friends join in peace and harmony using ancient African drumming rhythms to tell their own stories and heal broken communities.
Experience the transformative power of African drumming through our video gallery showcasing workshops, performances, and community engagement.
Recognized by leading organizations and supported by trusted partners in the arts and charity sectors.
